This project will integrate with the Population/Employm ent forecast study and provide the basis for implementing new development charge rates. 2013 – Initiate the Development Charges Background Study after the conclusion of the population/employment forecast study. Late 2013/ Early 2014 – Adopt new Development Charges By-law with revised rates (must be approved before the expiry of the current by-law on August 24, 2014). CS Mark Merritt Project has been included in the 2013 Tax Supported Capital Budget. Consultant has been retained to complete both the Population/Employment Forecast as well as the Development Charges update. A project kick-off meeting has occurred with anticipated completion of updated development charges by-law by May of 2014. x x x x All areas funded from development charges will be affected.
