HFS is a local registered charity that re-uses<br />

donated furniture and electrical goods, passing<br />

them on at affordable rates to low-income<br />

households. We developed our workshop-based<br />

course to help people who are out of work to learn<br />

new skills and release their creativity while<br />

revitalising some of our old wooden furniture and<br />

bringing it back into use.<br />

FSN Robsack Community Learning runs the<br />

Community Parents Scheme with accredited<br />

Community Participation courses at the Robsack<br />

Centre.<br />

We are looking for volunteers to take part in an 18<br />

week Level 2 City & Guilds training course which<br />

will lead to volunteers carrying out home visits to<br />

local families with children under 5. This course is<br />

open to all parents who have an interest in working<br />

with children and families.<br />

The course runs once a week term time only from<br />

9.30-2.00pm, crèche spaces, lunch provided and<br />

expenses reimbursed. This is a fantastic opportunity<br />

and if you are interested please contact us for an<br />

application.<br />

The Horizons Community Learning Project offers a<br />

wide range of free learning and career advice to<br />

adults of all ages across <strong>Hastings</strong> and St Leonards.<br />

Learning is informal with free crèche in easy to<br />

access venues close to home. We offer over 40<br />

courses including qualifications such as GCSEs and<br />

NVQs. Join throughout the year.<br />

Shaw Trust is a national charity that provides<br />

training and employment services to thousands of<br />

disabled and disadvantaged people each year.<br />

Courses will help to improve employability by<br />

developing positive work-related behaviour. These<br />

courses will help to improve your basic skills of<br />

literacy numeracy and oral communications and<br />

include an 8 week work placement.<br />
