building where local groups meet and community<br />

activities take place.Itoffers two training/meeting<br />

rooms,amain hall, a training kitchen anda<br />

children’s area offering a free after school club or<br />

crèche while mums and dads are training.<br />

Learndirect at‘the Font’, <strong>Hastings</strong> Library offersa<br />

rangeofcomputer based coursesina warm and<br />

friendly atmosphere with qualified tutor support.<br />

Choose from free taster sessionstoa programme<br />

of courses leadingtoanationally recognised<br />

qualification in literacy, mathsorIT.<br />

Parking facilities and placesofrefreshment are<br />

nearbyinthe town centre.<br />

As an alternative visit our provision at the Bridge<br />

Children’s Centre, Priory Road, <strong>Hastings</strong> where<br />

courses are run each Thursday from 10.00 am to 3<br />

pm with crèche facilities availableinthe morning,<br />

so parents can learn while the children play!<br />

Finding Futures offers a Personal and Social<br />

Development programme designed to help people of<br />

all ages develop the skills and qualifications necessary<br />

for collegeand/or employment. Finding Futures works<br />

with people in a maximum group size of 4; those<br />

who might need support with lackofconfidenceor<br />

motivationorwho just do not know wheretoturn for<br />

the help they know they need. Finding Futuresalso<br />

work withYoungPeople aged14 – 16 struggling with<br />

school and mainstream education.<br />

Adult Learning<br />

Robsack Community Learning –<br />

Autumn 2012<br />

The Autumn programme of free short courses<br />

commences in September at The Robsack Centre.<br />

Courses will include International Cooking – Learn<br />

to cook Chinese and Indian food from scratch!<br />

Assertiveness course – Learn to be more assertive<br />

and confident and Computers for the Terriffied –a<br />

3 week course on how to conquer your fears of<br />

computers. Other courses include administration,<br />

parenting, and festive arts and crafts. All our<br />

courses are free and have free preschool crèches<br />

(booking required).<br />

Go On sessions every week at the centre. Go On is<br />

a free online course for beginners. If you are<br />

lacking confidence and skills to go online or in<br />

emailing, this course would be great for you. We do<br />

not have childcare available for this course.<br />

Robsack Centre also holds free fun <strong>events</strong> for the<br />

family every month.<br />
