Sign Time<br />
Our Sign Time courses are led by The Family Outreach<br />
Service and are a fun and easy way to learn to use<br />
baby sign with your baby. Together you will learn<br />
Makaton baby signs while having fun practising them<br />
in songs, games and activities!<br />
Why Sign? Signing while speaking has been shown to<br />
encourage the development of communication and<br />
language. It can help reduce your child’s frustrations<br />
and help you to understand your baby’s needs and<br />
wants. Signing gives your child an extra visual clue to<br />
help their understanding.<br />
Our courses run bi-monthly and consist of 4<br />
weekly sessions. They are held at various venues<br />
across the town for babies 6 months-1 year.<br />
