Welcome to the Autumn and Winter<br />
2012 edition of our activity guide. We<br />
hope you find it useful. In this edition<br />
we would like to introduce some more<br />
members of <strong>Hastings</strong> and St Leonards<br />
Children’s <strong>Centres</strong> team.<br />
Hello, our names are Mary Allsopp<br />
and Lynne Roberts. We are the Early<br />
Years Teachers for <strong>Hastings</strong> and St.<br />
Leonards Children’s <strong>Centres</strong>. It’s our<br />
role to support your child’s<br />
development and learning across the<br />
foundation stage in settings, groups,<br />
crèches and in their transition to<br />
school.<br />
This year has seen the launch of<br />
Language Checkers. These checkers are completed by yourself and the group<br />
leader to find out how your child is developing with their communication<br />
skills. You will then receive helpful leaflets with ideas for things you can do at<br />
home. Every 6 months, you will be invited to do another Language Checker to<br />
ensure that your child is on track with their communication skills. Please ask<br />
for a Language Checker next time you attend one of the Children’s Centre<br />
groups.
