POLYURETHANE MEMBRANE DESMOPOL
Singular points
Sometimes it is necessary to carry out preparatory and conditioning work prior to application of DESMOPOL
system, because it depends largely on the waterproofing membrane is fully effective and sustainable. We detail

Encounter with downspouts
In reparation jobs, once the tank is ready, proceed to
apply DESMOPOL system across the internal
circumference of the downspout, so up and down
exceeding 10 cm, sometimes more distance,
depending of the maximum level of water expected
(exp: case of extreme precipitation).
Expansion joints
Fill the joints with polyurethane mastic, and then
apply a waterproofing band reinforced by a geotextile
mesh as TECNOBAND. This should cover
between 10 at 15 cm on each joint side.
Cracks
There are passive or active cracks (more than 3 mm
wide), After opening with a sanding disc or other
similar tool than cleaning must fill them with a mastic
or sealant as DESMOSEAL MASTIC PU, after its
drying, we apply the DESMOPOL polyurethane
membrane, it is important to test compatibility of
both elements.
Edges,ridges and encounters
Sharp edges, sides and encounters must be
rounded than treated with mastic as DESMOSEAL
MASILLA PU, if necessary adding a geo-textile
mesh layer as reinforcement.
Vertical perimeters
It is also necessary to perform the conditioning of
vertical perimeters before applying the
waterproofing membrane DESMOPOL.
Wiring / Sockets
Cables and sockets are treated as singular
elements, and they must be treated before the
waterproofing membrane is installed.
