April meeting to
have our new Divan

us greetings from
our Potentate

and the Divan.
After a great meal
our own member

Frank is a detective with the Albert Lea
Police department. at program was
most interesting and informative.

e ALSC also hosted a pancake
breakfast the 3rd Sunday of the month
which was very
successful. ank you

Just a little side note;
I attended the Osman
Circus with a couple of
my daughters, their
spouses and children. IT
WAS GREAT!! e last
time I was there was
around thirty years ago
with my four daughters.
Wow, I have been
missing a
WONDERFUL event. I will be there
next year, and will make myself available
to help.
Upcoming Events:
May 4th. - Spring Ceremonial, Masonic
Center at Plato
whole circus staff
for all the hard
work and effort of
staging the 2013
Osman Shrine
Circus. It was not
only a wonderful
time but a
successful event.
Damn – that was
fun. e Drum
and Bugle Corps
had 3 booths for
popcorn, Sno-cone
and peanut sales as
well as one ticket
stand for elephant
rides. -- WE
NEEDED HELP
– and we got it,
from our own unit and also from other
units. People stepped in whenever we
needed them. People from the
Daughters of the Nile, Legion of
Honor, Nomads, Directors Staff,
Rochester Zagalas and others were

Conway Villars has sold elephant ride
tickets and helped at the Circus for 50
years -- and finally got to ride the
elephant! (See cover)
May 4th. – ALSC Parade car cleanup/fix
up day.

May 18th. – ALSC Spring Steak dinner
END OF MAY – Let e Parades Begin!

from the Drum and
Bugle Corps.
Our spring
schedule is on us with
Memorial Day our
biggest event of the
year. We will march
in the White Bear
Lake Memorial Day
Parade and
participate in the
service at the
cemetery. We will
also play military and
patriotic tunes at the
American Legion and
VFW Posts. is is a
full day for us and, at times, quite
moving. Come on out if you can. It
will be worth your time.
