Local cable show produced by
Osman Shriner wins national award.
At CTV North Suburbs, we produce a
local cable TV show called Disability
Viewpoints. Our show just won the top
national award in North America called "The
Hometown Video Award."
The show’s host, Mark Hughes is an
Osman Shriner.
We started Disability Viewpoints (the TV
show) in 1998 and we have received this top
honor 6 times total and 4 years in a row. We
Mark Hughes
entered the show in the professional category
and the topic of the show that won this year
dealt with showcasing new adaptive technologies for people living
with a disability.
One year we won this award for showcasing the Shriners
Hospital here in Minneapolis. We will be accepting the award in
August at the national convention in Chicago.
