Alexandria Shrine Club and 4 Wheelers The Alex Shrine Club met last month at the Shrine building in Alexandria. Our meetings at the Shrine building are potluck so bring a dish to share when you come. We have a few Nobles and Ladies to keep in your thoughts and prayers. Lady Julie Rozell (Walt's better half), Nancy Fish, and Nobles Bill Lindholm, Wayne Becker and Dennis Weigel. The Four Wheelers and Calliope have started a busy season and we are in need of people to help ride the wheelers. You do not need to make all the parades and learning to ride the manuvers are very easy to learn. Please contact Chris Fischer or Brion Golde if you are interested in riding. It's a lot of fun and a good way to meet new people. We heard a lot of great comments about the Alexandria circus this year. The performances were great and thank you to all that helped work the circus. The Shrine Club would like to especially thank Ralph Berg and Bill Weaver for co-chairing the circus this year, great job fellow shriners. Noble Lamoine Hattton was asked if he would auction off choice of one of the hangings as a fund raiser for the club. Upon Noble Loren winning the choice of one, Lady Fran was asked if we could auction off the other hanging as well. Some of you know this already, but I think it is really neat. Last year my daughter went to California on a marching band trip and at the parade on Coronado Island she met a Shriner from the Al Bahr Shrine. He came up to my daughter Amelia and she acknowledged him as a Shriner. He asked how she knew that and she said because of the fez and told him that her dad is a Shriner. They talked for a little while and it left an impression on my daughter and a big surprise to a fellow Shriner. How did it happen that he came up to the one child that has ties to the shrine? Directors Staff Greetings Nobles, Last month we welcomed our newest member of the Directors Staff, Patrick Gillespie. Here is some Ron Clarstrom additional information: Patrick Gillespie and his wife Jessica have two Yorkies named Sully and Chewie.
