Ramblings from the Potentate’s Aides
Just a quick note to
add my THANKS to all
the Potentate’s Aides
who really stepped up to
help this summer. We
had a lot of events that
needed extra help, such
as the Friday Night
Rich Johnson
Oasis before the Pote’s
Gala, which was held at
the Barn — the first “official” Osman
event to be held there!
Then just a week later we hosted the
Osman Family Picnic, which entailed
cooking weinies and burgers, plus cutting
Clowns
watermelon, setting up the pot luck tables
and assisting with the kids’ games.
The Midwest was also a huge success,
with a sellout of sloppy joes and lots of
great snacks, food and beverages to keep
everyone happy.
Potentate’s Aides this year include:
Assistant Chief Aides Ernie Flury, Jim
Gratias, Jerry Payne, and Tom Schultz,
and Aides Tim Beck, Mike Elwell, John
Hawthorne, Norm Hodge, Dave
McKinnon, Bob Misner, Don Nelson,
Dan Ochocki, Al Ouradnik, Ron Pew,
John Watson, Andy Weiss, and Mike
Werth. A special thanks to their Ladies
for allowing them to take time to help us.
Look for these hard-working Aides at
various events during the year and thank
The Osman Shrine clowns have
survived another Midwest. We sent three
clowns into the depths of competition,
with success.
Tom Schultz came home with a solid
2nd place for being a Character Clown,
Mark Galloway achieved a 3rd place in
the Tramp/Hobo, and last but not least,
Travis Rather came home with the packet
that he was given when he arrived on
Thursday. However: Travis should have
placed in both in the White faced clown
competion and in parade-ability using the
three-piece chicken dinner skit. There will
be a chance next year for Travis to take the
gold.
The clowns were well represented by
the three clowns that were at the Midwest,
Thank you!
