annoying. When he’s not with Lan Wei, Yan Hong values his privacy<br />

above all else. Spending his childhood alone with his uncle on the road<br />

taught him the virtue of looking inward for comfort and solace.<br />

Liang Hu (or “Stalwart Tiger”) is not exactly the sharpest tool in the<br />

shed. However, what he lacks in wit or intelligence he more than<br />

makes up for in heart and soul. Originally hailing from the largest<br />

Beastman settlement in the region, Fang-Horn, he ran away in shame<br />

when he was younger after losing a bet to his best friend, Tie Lang (or<br />

“Iron Wolf”). He wandered the Central Plains for many years,<br />

experiencing first-hand the racism and fear that has been directed at his<br />

people for so long by humanity. Yet, despite all the social hardships he<br />

encountered, he never lost his faith in people (Beastman and human<br />

alike). To earn money and provisions, he often fought in the<br />

gladiatorial pits that are so popular in the Central Plains cities. His<br />

impressive record eventually attracted the attention of a notoriously<br />

corrupt magistrate who tried to coerce Liang Hu into throwing his<br />
