Front connector with single cores<br />
■ Overview<br />
The flexible connection permits a fast and direct connection<br />
between the input/output modules of the SIMATIC S7-400 and<br />
the individual elements in the switchgear cabi<strong>net</strong>.<br />
Single cores already attached reduce wiring overheads.<br />
Core cross-sections of 0.5 mm 2 also permit higher currents.<br />
• Individual cores can be routed directly to each element in the<br />
control cabi<strong>net</strong><br />
• Higher currents are possible usin g a larger cross-section, with<br />
a smaller voltage drop<br />
• Reduction in wiring overhead th anks to simple plugging-on of<br />
the preassembled cable onto the I/O module<br />
• Simple wiring. The number printe d on the core corresponds to<br />
the connection point on the I/O connector<br />
