Oxygen applications<br />
Oxygen and other gases can react explosively to oils, grease and plastics, such that, among other things, the<br />
following precautions must be taken:<br />
– All components of the system, such as measuring devices, must be cleaned in accordance with the BAM<br />
(DIN 19247) requirements.<br />
– Dependent on the materials used, a certain maximum temperature and a maximum pressure for oxygen<br />
applications must not be exceeded.<br />
The devices suitable for gaseous oxygen applications are listed in the following table with the specification p max .<br />

Ultrapure gas applications<br />
Applications with hydrogen<br />
Endress+Hauser also offers devices for special applications, such as ultrapure gas, cleaned from oil and grease.<br />
No special restrictions regarding the process conditions apply to these devices.<br />

side, material, seal".<br />
With regard to materials in which hydrogen formation takes place, hydrogen atoms can diffuse through the<br />
metal process isolating diaphragms. This can result in incorrect measurement results.<br />
Endress+Hauser offers process isolating diaphragms with gold-rhodium coating for this application.<br />
