Head coach Terry Williams<br />

prepares for his tenth season<br />

at the helm of <strong>Corban</strong><br />

College’s women’s basketball<br />

program.<br />

Six years ago, Terry<br />

handed the reigns over to<br />

former head coach Dave Bale. Terry returns to the<br />

bench last season where he guided then-Western<br />

Baptist to two straight National Christian College<br />

Athletic Association (NCCAA) national titles in<br />

1995 & 1996. William accumulated an overall<br />

record of 157-138 in nine seasons as the leader of<br />

the Warriors. During the 2000-01 season, Terry<br />

coached the Warriors to a school-record 11-game<br />

winning streak from January 7 th -February 2 nd , as<br />

well as leading the program to its first-ever Cascade<br />

Collegiate Conference championship year and a trip<br />

to the NAIA national tournament.<br />

“Playing for a team of all Christian athletes<br />

dedicated to a common goal of competing at the<br />

highest level possible is one of the most dynamic<br />

experiences a person can have,” Terry said. “Our<br />

hope is to develop the total person and <strong>Corban</strong> is<br />

the perfect place to accomplish that.”<br />

A graduate of Western Baptist College in 1974,<br />

Terry played both basketball and baseball for the<br />

Warriors. Terry was also a successful AAU coach<br />

in the Salem-Keizer area for many years before<br />

accepting his first collegiate position in 1994.<br />

Terry worked as the Director of Residence Life<br />

from nine years (1997-2006) at <strong>Corban</strong> before<br />

retiring from that position due to health reasons.<br />

Terry and his wife, Debbie, currently reside in<br />

Keizer. The couple has three children (Matt, Joel,<br />

& Allison), who all attended <strong>Corban</strong>, and six<br />

grandchildren (Josiah, Jonah, Julia, Jaden, Katelyn,<br />

& Parker). Terry’s son, Matt, graduated from then-<br />

Western Baptist College and was an assistant coach<br />

for the Warriors for three seasons, while his other<br />

son, Joel, competed for the Warriors in both soccer<br />

(1995) and baseball (1996-98) before moving to<br />

the Sacramento area where he currently works as<br />

a teacher and coach. Terry’s lone daughter, Allison,<br />

played four years of basketball at then-Western<br />

Baptist from 1998-2002 and is now a teacher and<br />

varsity girls’ basketball coach at nearby Sprague<br />

High School. Terry’s daughter-in-law, Erica, played<br />

four years of basketball (1996-2001) for the<br />

Warriors before serving as an assistant coach for<br />

two seasons (2001-02 & 2007-08).<br />

Ron Hittner<br />

Ron Hittner begins his second<br />

year as assistant coach this<br />

this season. Ron earned<br />

his bachelor’s degree in math from Willamette<br />

<strong>University</strong> in 1987 and then was awarded a<br />

master’s degree in the area of business in 1989.<br />

Ron returns to the sideline to help Coach<br />

Williams after serving as an advance scout for<br />

the Warriors during Williams’ first tenure as head<br />

coach. Along with his scouting experience, Ron has<br />

served as girls’ coach at Blanchet Catholic School,<br />

as well as being a long-time AAU coach in the<br />

Salem-Keizer area. Besides his AAU experience,<br />

Ron also worked as an assistant coach at McNary<br />

High School in Keizer which is his alma mater.<br />

“Our #1 goal is helping our players and all<br />

those we encounter in their spiritual growth,” said<br />

Ron. “We also are entrusted with assisting out<br />

young women succeed academically and prepare<br />

them for life after college. Finally, I am thrilled to<br />

be part of our program’s quest to be a perennial<br />

national championship contender.”<br />

Ron, a graduate of McNary High School,<br />

was a 3-year starter for the Celtics and two-time<br />

Defensive Player of the Year (1981-82 & 1982-83).<br />

Ron was named a member of the all-league team<br />

following the 1982-83 season and helped lead<br />

McNary to the state tournament for the first time in<br />

14 years. Ron ended his playing career at McNary<br />

in the top five for career assists before playing two<br />

seasons at point guard for Willamette <strong>University</strong>.<br />

Ron and his wife, Mikki, live in Keizer with their<br />

two daughters (Tori & Bailey). Ron is the owner and<br />

president of a management consulting firm, Hittner<br />

& Associates, Inc.<br />

Rosey Ball<br />

Assistant Coach<br />

Rosey Ball will begin her first<br />

season as an assistant coach for<br />

the Warriors after playing four<br />

years (1994-99) for current head<br />

coach Terry Williams.<br />

During her time as a<br />

Warrior, Rosey was part of back-to-back NCCAA<br />

national champions in 1995 & 1996. On the<br />

all-time career list in Warrior history, Rosey is the<br />

all-time leader in free throws made, free throws<br />

attempted, and blocked shots. Rosey also ranks<br />

2nd in rebounding average, 3rd in total rebounds,<br />

4th in scoring, 5th in scoring average, 5th in field<br />

goals made, and 5th in field goals attempted.<br />

“I had a life-changing experience at <strong>Corban</strong><br />

as a student-athlete and I’m excited to be a part<br />

of the program again as a coach,” said Ball. “It is<br />

amazing to be part of a team that shares the same<br />

faith and the same goal.”<br />

Married to former Warrior men’s basketball<br />

player, Steve Ball, the couple currently resides in<br />

Stayton with their two sons, Damian & Dominic.<br />

The couple currently attends Salem First Church of<br />

the Nazarene.<br />
