Terry Williams
Head Coach
Head coach Terry Williams
prepares for his tenth season
at the helm of Corban
College’s women’s basketball
program.
Six years ago, Terry
handed the reigns over to
former head coach Dave Bale. Terry returns to the
bench last season where he guided then-Western
Baptist to two straight National Christian College
Athletic Association (NCCAA) national titles in
1995 & 1996. William accumulated an overall
record of 157-138 in nine seasons as the leader of
the Warriors. During the 2000-01 season, Terry
coached the Warriors to a school-record 11-game
winning streak from January 7 th -February 2 nd , as
well as leading the program to its first-ever Cascade
Collegiate Conference championship year and a trip
to the NAIA national tournament.
“Playing for a team of all Christian athletes
dedicated to a common goal of competing at the
highest level possible is one of the most dynamic
experiences a person can have,” Terry said. “Our
hope is to develop the total person and Corban is
the perfect place to accomplish that.”
A graduate of Western Baptist College in 1974,
Terry played both basketball and baseball for the
Warriors. Terry was also a successful AAU coach
in the Salem-Keizer area for many years before
accepting his first collegiate position in 1994.
Terry worked as the Director of Residence Life
from nine years (1997-2006) at Corban before
retiring from that position due to health reasons.
Terry and his wife, Debbie, currently reside in
Keizer. The couple has three children (Matt, Joel,
& Allison), who all attended Corban, and six
grandchildren (Josiah, Jonah, Julia, Jaden, Katelyn,
& Parker). Terry’s son, Matt, graduated from then-
Western Baptist College and was an assistant coach
for the Warriors for three seasons, while his other
son, Joel, competed for the Warriors in both soccer
(1995) and baseball (1996-98) before moving to
the Sacramento area where he currently works as
a teacher and coach. Terry’s lone daughter, Allison,
played four years of basketball at then-Western
Baptist from 1998-2002 and is now a teacher and
varsity girls’ basketball coach at nearby Sprague
High School. Terry’s daughter-in-law, Erica, played
four years of basketball (1996-2001) for the
Warriors before serving as an assistant coach for
two seasons (2001-02 & 2007-08).
Ron Hittner
Assistant Coach
Ron Hittner begins his second
year as assistant coach this
season and will work sideby-side
with Coach Williams
this season. Ron earned
his bachelor’s degree in math from Willamette
University in 1987 and then was awarded a
master’s degree in the area of business in 1989.
Ron returns to the sideline to help Coach
Williams after serving as an advance scout for
the Warriors during Williams’ first tenure as head
coach. Along with his scouting experience, Ron has
served as girls’ coach at Blanchet Catholic School,
as well as being a long-time AAU coach in the
Salem-Keizer area. Besides his AAU experience,
Ron also worked as an assistant coach at McNary
High School in Keizer which is his alma mater.
“Our #1 goal is helping our players and all
those we encounter in their spiritual growth,” said
Ron. “We also are entrusted with assisting out
young women succeed academically and prepare
them for life after college. Finally, I am thrilled to
be part of our program’s quest to be a perennial
national championship contender.”
Ron, a graduate of McNary High School,
was a 3-year starter for the Celtics and two-time
Defensive Player of the Year (1981-82 & 1982-83).
Ron was named a member of the all-league team
following the 1982-83 season and helped lead
McNary to the state tournament for the first time in
14 years. Ron ended his playing career at McNary
in the top five for career assists before playing two
seasons at point guard for Willamette University.
Ron and his wife, Mikki, live in Keizer with their
two daughters (Tori & Bailey). Ron is the owner and
president of a management consulting firm, Hittner
& Associates, Inc.
Rosey Ball
Assistant Coach
Rosey Ball will begin her first
season as an assistant coach for
the Warriors after playing four
years (1994-99) for current head
coach Terry Williams.
During her time as a
Warrior, Rosey was part of back-to-back NCCAA
national champions in 1995 & 1996. On the
all-time career list in Warrior history, Rosey is the
all-time leader in free throws made, free throws
attempted, and blocked shots. Rosey also ranks
2nd in rebounding average, 3rd in total rebounds,
4th in scoring, 5th in scoring average, 5th in field
goals made, and 5th in field goals attempted.
“I had a life-changing experience at Corban
as a student-athlete and I’m excited to be a part
of the program again as a coach,” said Ball. “It is
amazing to be part of a team that shares the same
faith and the same goal.”
Married to former Warrior men’s basketball
player, Steve Ball, the couple currently resides in
Stayton with their two sons, Damian & Dominic.
The couple currently attends Salem First Church of
the Nazarene.
