Other small businesses included are the makers of remanufactured buses subject to the ADA, 1 he<br />

makers of FTA Section 18 vehicles. Also, senior citizen facilities and nursing homes that<br />

operate shuttle buses, public and private transportation contractors, etc., may be small businesties.<br />

There are small non-profit organizations that would be affected by a price increase such as<br />

churches, synagogues, veterans groups, etc. There may be small public and private educationa 1<br />

institutions that employ wheelchair lift-equipped shuttle buses that would be affected. There a lso<br />

may be small governmental jurisdictions that operate public shuttle bus transportation at airport<br />

facilities or community public transportation services. Thus, there are potentially hundreds of<br />

small businesses, small organizations and small governmental jurisdictions affected.<br />

The agency has concluded that as a result of this rule, there may be a significant economic imp act<br />

($233-$305 incremental consumer cost), direct and indirect, on a substantial number of small<br />

businesses, small organizations and small governmental jurisdictions.<br />

D. A description of the proiected reporting, record keeping and other compliance requirement<br />

of the Final Proposed Rule including an estimate of the classes of small entities which will be<br />

subiect to the requirement and the types of professional skills necessary for preparation of the<br />

report or record.
