(1) Next - shown by a right pointing arrow that moves you
down through the fully expanded TOC.
(2) Previous [Chronological] - previous moves you back up
the fully expanded TOC.
(3) Return [Chronological] - shown by an arrow pointing
down and right, to return the user to . . .
(4) Back [Logical] - shown by a arrow pointing up and left
that navigates you back to your previous location in the
IETM.
(5) TOC (possibly various types: List of Figures, Tables,
etc.) - general navigation, may be shown with a stack
of documents.
(6) Exit (icon should provide a menu of exit options) -
exits the user from one of the three supported modes:
(a) Complete (save and update history).
(b) Abort (do not save or update history).
(c) Suspend a session at any time (e.g., for a break or
emergency).
(7) Find/Search (refer to 7.3.7) - perform a keyword
search against valid entry points (e.g. TOC or list of
content).
(8) User Navigation Panel Toggle. An optional toggle
capability to turn off the user navigation panel. The
guide post (or compass rose for a minimized guide post)
and classification bar should remain visible.
(9) Parts (IPB/RPSTL)
(a) Parts Info - provide parts information on
selected parts within the IETM.
(b) Parts Ordering (shopping cart icon) - provide a
link to an external location (e.g. parts database,
forms etc.) to order parts. May also provide access
to a parts ordering system.
