CHAPTER 3. AIDS TO NAVIGATION<br />

A. Maritime Radiobeacons. The frequency band 285-325 kHz is<br />

allocated to the Maritime Radiobeacon Service. Frequencies assigned<br />

to individual radiobeacons are shown in the C. G. Light Lists and<br />

DMAHTC PUB 117. The Aeronautical Radionavigation Service is<br />

permitted in this band provide that no harmful interence is caused to<br />

the maritime radionavigation service. Maritime radiobeacons may<br />

also operate in the bands 275-285 kHz and 325-335 kHz provided that<br />

no harmful interference is caused to the aeronautical radionavigation<br />

service. Differential Radionavigation (e.g. Omega, GPS) signals may<br />

be transmitted with the radiobeacon signal in these bands.
