REFITTING<br />

a Push the piston back using the (Fre. 1190-01) until it<br />

is at the end of its housing.<br />

The calliper mounting bolts and the guide pin bolts<br />

must be coated with FRENBLOC type product before<br />

being fitted.<br />

a Refit:<br />

- the calliper mounting,<br />

guide pin bolts<br />

3.2 daNm<br />

- the calliper mounting bolts.<br />

a When replacing brake pads or a disc, it is essential<br />

to change the pads and disc on the opposite side.<br />

REMOVAL<br />

a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:<br />

Towing and lifting) (MR 370, 02A, Lifting equipment).<br />

a Remove the front wheels (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,<br />

Wheel: Removal - Refitting, page 35A-1) .<br />

a Torque tighten the calliper mounting bolts (10.5<br />

daNm).<br />

a Fit the pads, starting from the inside.<br />

a Refit:<br />

- the calliper,<br />

- the guide pin bolts.<br />

WARNING<br />

- Reattach the brake hose and wheel speed sensor<br />

wire if they have been detached.<br />

- Do not twist the brake hose.<br />

a Check the brake fluid level.<br />

a Torque tighten the guide pin bolts (3.2 daNm).<br />

a Refit the wheels (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,<br />

Wheel: Removal - Refitting, page 35A-1) .<br />

IMPORTANT<br />

Depress the brake pedal several times to bring<br />

the pistons, brake pads and discs into contact.<br />

a Check the brake fluid level.<br />

a Remove the guide pin bolts (1) .<br />

a Hang the brake calliper from the suspension spring.<br />

a Remove:<br />

- the brake pads,<br />

- the two calliper mounting bolts (2) ,<br />

- the calliper mounting.<br />

a Check the condition of the braking components (replace<br />

defective parts).<br />

a Clean the calliper supports and callipers.<br />
