IMPORTANT<br />

Be sure to follow the order of operations in the procedure<br />

described below.<br />

a Unscrew:<br />

- the pipe union (1) ,<br />

- the calliper hose.<br />

REFITTING<br />

a<br />

WARNING<br />

Do not twist the brake pipe, and straighten the<br />

wheels as steering lock makes it easier for the<br />

unit to become twisted.<br />

REMOVAL<br />

a<br />

WARNING<br />

Drain the brake fluid to prevent damage to the<br />

mechanical parts and bodywork around the braking<br />

system.<br />

a Fit the pedal press to the brake pedal to limit the<br />

outflow of brake fluid.<br />

Make sure that there is no contact between the<br />

brake pipe and the surrounding components.<br />

Note:<br />

The pipe supplied as spare parts are encased in<br />

a spring to prevent them from being twisted<br />

during fitting.<br />

a Refit the brake hose at the calliper end.<br />

a Torque tighten:<br />

- the brake hose on the calliper (1.7 daNm),<br />

- the brake hose on the union (1.4 daNm).<br />

a Position the female end of the brake pipe on the retaining<br />

bracket without straining it by twisting.<br />

a Make sure that the end piece engages freely into the<br />

bracket splines.<br />
