REFITTING<br />

I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION<br />

a parts always to be replaced: Front brake calliper<br />

guide pin bolt (13,03,03,07).<br />

a Measure the thickness of the pads and then compare<br />

them to the minimum values (see 30A, General<br />

information, Brake: Specifications, page 30A-6) .<br />

a Do not allow friction materials to come into contact<br />

with grease, oil or other lubricants and cleaning products<br />

which are mineral oil based.<br />

a Clean using a wire brush and BRAKE CLEANER<br />

(see Vehicle: Parts and ingredients for the repairwork)<br />

(04B, Consumables - Products):<br />

- the calliper supports,<br />

- the callipers.<br />

a Push the piston with the tool (Fre. 1190-01).<br />

II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART<br />

CONCERNED<br />

a Refit:<br />

- the brake pads,<br />

- the brake calliper,<br />

- the calliper retaining spring.<br />

a Torque tighten the bolts of the calliper guide pins<br />

(27 N.m).<br />

a Refit the guide pin bolt caps.<br />

a Attach the brake hose to the shock absorber.<br />

IMPORTANT<br />

To avoid any accident, bring the pistons, brake<br />

pads and brake discs into contact by depressing<br />

the brake pad several times.<br />

III - FINAL OPERATION<br />

a Refit the front wheel (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,<br />

Wheel: Removal - Refitting, page 35A-1) .<br />
