This procedure concerns TEVES type brake pads.<br />

WARNING<br />

In order not to damage the brake hose:<br />

- do not tension the hose,<br />

- do not twist the hose,<br />

- check that there is no contact with the surrounding<br />

components.<br />

When replacing brake pads, it is essential to replace<br />

the pads on the opposite side.<br />

REMOVAL<br />

a Unclip the brake hose from the shock absorber.<br />

a Remove the retaining spring (1) from the brake calliper<br />

using a flat-blade screwdriver.<br />

I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION<br />

a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:<br />

Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).<br />

a Remove the front wheel (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,<br />

Wheel: Removal - Refitting, page 35A-1) .<br />

a Remove:<br />

- the caps (2) from the guide pin bolts,<br />

- the calliper guide pin bolts (2) ,<br />

- the calliper (3) from its support.<br />

a Attach the calliper (3) to the shock absorber spring.<br />

a Remove the brake pads.<br />
