In the passenger compartment<br />

REFITTING<br />

a Check the condition of the seals.<br />

a To refit, proceed in the reverse order of removal.<br />

a Torque tighten the clutch pedal plate nuts (2.1<br />

daNm).<br />

a It is essential that the sensors are pulled to the end<br />

stop to position them at the minimum.<br />

The clutch pedal position sensors have an automatic<br />

adjustment function which adjusts in accordance<br />

with the position of the pedal.<br />

a Remove the grey start of travel switch (6) by turning<br />

it a quarter of a turn.<br />

a Disconnect the connector from the switch (6) .<br />

a Remove the green end of travel switch (7) by turning<br />

it a quarter of a turn.<br />

a Disconnect the connector from the switch (7) .<br />

a Place a cloth under the master cylinder.<br />

a Remove the union clips on the master cylinder (8) .<br />

a Disconnect the pipes.<br />

a Fit plugs into the openings.<br />

a Remove the clutch master cylinder ball joint from the<br />

pedal.<br />

a Disconnect the clutch pedal position sensor connector.<br />

a Remove the clutch pedal position sensor.<br />

a Remove the four clutch plate nuts.<br />

a Extract the « pedal - master cylinder » assembly.<br />

a Remove the master cylinder from the pedal assembly<br />

by turning it clockwise a quarter of a turn (bayonet<br />

type mounting).<br />

a Position the switches in their housing.<br />

a Turn them one quarter turn clockwise.<br />

a Reconnect the two clutch pedal switches.<br />

a Bleed the clutch control (see 37A, Mechanical<br />

component controls, Clutch circuit: Bleeding,<br />

page 37A-73) .<br />

WARNING<br />

Connect the battery. carry out the necessary programming<br />

(see (see 8, Electrical equipment) ).<br />
