Better information about state support measures, as well as other project activities<br />

contributed to higher devotion of employers for their usage. The number of<br />

employers who intend to use some benefits or subvention for employment of PWDs is<br />

higher for 20,9%. Their expectations rely on financial support for new employment. At<br />

the same time the number of insecure employers is decreased and just one fourth of<br />

them have no opinion about the employment of PWDs.<br />

General conclusion<br />

Positive effects on sustainable employment of PWDs can be expected if persons with<br />

disability would have an access to resources (local plan for economic development,<br />

agency for re-qualification, resources map, Law on professional rehabilitation and<br />

employment, employers etc.) and networks which spread the opportunities for<br />

employment (National Employment Bureau).<br />

It is necessary that Serbian Government with all relevant Ministries and<br />

local authorities work on creation of preconditions for higher employment<br />

of persons with disability, including:<br />

- Provision of support services for PWDs,<br />

- Provision of accessible environment and public transport,<br />

- Provision of accessible information and communication,<br />

- Adaptation of working places and working process when necessary.<br />

Process of implementation of the Law on employment of PWDs on quota<br />

principles should be monitored and examples of good practice should be<br />

presented as a model for creation of the support measures for the<br />

adjustment of working environment and achievement of optimal work<br />

results.<br />

Take measures to raise the level of information on sustainable<br />

development and action plans for the employment on the local level<br />

State bodies should constantly stimulate the employment of PWDs and<br />

create new, innovative models of support, as employers expectations are<br />

mainly related to financial support.<br />

Motivate PWDs for additional education in order to get new skills<br />

accordance with constant changes and requirements of labor market<br />

Commission for the evaluation of working abilities of PWDs should be<br />

more focused on their abilities (not disabilities) and support needed in the<br />
