82 ANNEXURE –X S/I/T/C Period: 6 month TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR APPLICATION OF MEMBRANE FILTERATION FOR CONCENTRATION OF MILK 1.0 FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENT : The powder plant of capacity 5 MT equipped with Niro (L & T) make atomizer model F-10 exist at Milk Union, Bikaner. Powder plant is in working condition. The membrane technology need to be applied to enhance powder manufacturing capacity within existing design parameter by efficient production of concrete milk for powder plant at Milk Union, Bikaner. 1. The Composition of Feed Skim Milk available at site & other related parameters of existing system. Protein - 2.8% Lactose - 4.8% Acidity - 0.135% Ash - 0.7% Fat - 0.05% T.S. - 8.0% - 8.5% 2. Expected concentration out of ment. 13 - 15% 3. Existing feed rate & Feed T.S. to Evaporator 2000 ltre Skim Milk of 8% T.S. per hour. 4. Concentrate Feed rate 400 litre of 40% per hour 5. Existing feed rate to dryer 400 litre of 40% per hour 6. Feed rate to be increased 3000 litre of 40% per hour 2.0 SCOPE OF WORK : Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Membrane technology Plant along with all related accessories i.e. SS pipe and pipe fittings, SS valves, electricals, electronic controls etc. to process 5,000 Kg per hour of Skim milk at 9.08% TS concentrating to 15% TS. The plant should be designed to operate in a continuous mode and is based on 20-hr/day operation on product and 4 hours of CIP as long as the skim milk meets pretreatment and quality. The system shall be designed for cleaning in place. Capabilities are provided in the control system with the appropriate valving for circulation of a cleaning agent followed by a water rinse. The steps involved in the cleaning cycles will be timed and sequenced automatically by the supplied PLC control system. Mass Balance (15% T.S) for Concentration for Skim Cow’s Milk Feed Rate : 5,000 Kg/hr. Concentrate Rate : 3000 Kg/hr. Permeate Rate : 2000 Kg/hr. EQUIPMENTS SPECIFICATION 3.0 FEED SECTION The feed section should be designed to provide adequate flow to the system plant during both production and CIP. This section should consists set of valves with flow switches and control tops. Feed Balance Tank Sock Filters Sock filters arrangement designed to prevent foreign material from entering into the system. Air actuated valves with flow switches are to be provided to allow automatic switching of filters from the control panel Pre-Feed Pump and Feed Pump To provide adequate feed flow at desired pressure during production and CIP. CIP Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger The heat exchanger should be of sanitary standards and is used to maintain the cleaning temperature by means of steam. * Pressure Gauges/Pressure Transmitters & related Stainless Steel Pipes and Fittings, Sample Valve for sample feed etc. are to be provided. 3.1 THE STAGES OF FILTRATION SYSTEM. Recirculation Stages The system should consists of stainless steel housings/vessels and membranes in different stages Recirculation Pump(s), to provide a constant cross flow condition over the membranes to maintain optimum flux and minimum fouling. Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers The heat exchangers should be of sanitary standards and should be used to maintain the production and CIP temperature by means of cooling water and related Set of Stainless Steel Pipes and Fittings required for completing the total (Signed & sealed by the tenderer (RCDF) in token of acceptance of above) Jaipur
