This is ensured by the inclusion of Zowo-plast ® in the Zobel color mixing system. Starting with just one
base coat, the desired color on color mixing systems as you know them from hardware stores is mixed
within minutes. Unlike the competition, Zobel is always limited to only one base coat. This reduces the
number of products, prevents confusion and minimizes storage. The color is realized through solventfree
and extremely weather-resistant pigment pastes.

Zobel products such as Zowo-plast ® are »green«.
This is based on the composition of water-based
Zowo-plast ® single-layer coatings, which are free
of isocyanate. Add to this a pronounced ecological
efficiency in the form of consumption economy
values through single-layer coating without complex
layer structures in combination with very small
material requirements. This is possible due to
the good running and covering properties of
Zowo-plast ® .
Completely free of labeling regulations, without
hazard symbols and free of reminders of risks, our
Zowo-plast ® products easily meet the requirements
of product-related European and other international
VOC threshold values. Thus, they can also be used
by businesses subject to the Decopaint directive.

by Zobel you can guarantee both.
Qualities
Durability as a promise …
With polyurethane technology, Zowo-plast ® offers
excellent resistance through very good adhesion
and excellent flow. It is particularly suitable for
large areas with a calm surface. The PVC singlelayer
coat is scratch- and abrasion-resistant like a
parquet coating. It resists wind and weather through
its seemingly indestructible polyurethane
base combined with excellent elasticity and tensility.
Safety of toys …
Zowo-plast ® is physiologically harmless. For example
it absolutely complies with the heavy metal limit
values required by EN 71-3 (safety of toys) and is
saliva- and perspiration-resistant as per DIN 53160
Parts 1 and 2. Additionally, Part 3 of the study
confirms compliance with limit values for its migration
behavior in all elements studied.
Individuality
Broad processing range …
Zowo-plast ® allows the user a wide range of
applications, ranging from the coating of individual
objects to series production. Zowo-plast ® can be
processed manually with a spray gun (air pressure
cup or air-assisted) or industrially with an automatic
coating line or vacuum coater. The solid colors
are also suitable for brush and roller application.
Easy welding of profiles is possible …
Welding of profiles at temperatures around 250 °C
is possible without damaging the surrounding coating
surface. The groove resulting from the removal of
the weld bead can be easily finished, for example
using the original coating material and a brush.
Economy
Material and process cost optimization …
With the single-layer Zowo-plast ® system, you
can reduce your material store – and this regardless
of whether you prefer solid-, textured structureor
a metallic-color system. The coating process
requires only a cleaning step and a painting step.
This saves time and resources.
Time is money …
Zowo-plast ® single-layer coatings can be dried at
room temperature or more rapidly at temperatures
around 40 °C. It goes even faster with Zobel
HaloDry ® (halogen drying). With this system,
coating to foiling takes no longer than 12 minutes.

costs. Here, we focus not only on cleaning and
painting, but, in consultation with you, can gladly
work out labor costs as well.
Low investment and set-up costs compared
to other color methods …
In terms of the coloring of PVC building components,
the coating competes with such techniques
as foiling, »through and through« coloring during
extrusion and the application of a coloring layer
by coextrusion. It is common to all these competing
techniques that they entail high costs for the
purchase of the necessary technique. In addition,
color or foil changes mean long conversion times
and waste. This makes these alternative techniques
mainly suited for large quantities and a limited
number of colors.
It’s different at Zowo-plast ® – here you always
have access to a wide variety of colors that can
be customized quickly by the appropriate color
mix. And this is at minimum capital commitment.

Zowo-plast ®
on alternative Substrates
Zowo-plast ® adheres not only to PVC-U, but also to other substrates and plastic surfaces such
as powder-coated aluminum. For this purpose Zowo-plast ® can be used in conjunction with a
primer or the addition of a hardener that makes a 2C-system of the 1C, or processed in combination
with requirements for drying at temperatures up to 60 °C.

Zobel Anti-Heat Formula
Dimensionally stable despite high Temperatures –
with Zowo-plast ® plus Anti-Heat formula by Zobel your PVC building
components stay in form.
Depending on the color, coated
surfaces are sometimes subject
to strong heating in the sun. The
reason for this is that, in addition
to the UV and the visible range,
sunlight also contains the IR range.
IR radiation makes a consideration
contribution to object heating as
»heat radiator«. For PVC building
components temperatures above
70 °C can be critical, because softening
and deformation can occur.
Zobel Anti-Heat color recipes limit
the heating of PVC building components
by up to 30 °C. This is
due to the reflective effect of the
Anti-Heat formula which efficiently
prevents the absorption of IR radiation
and the associated heating.
PCV coated with Anti-Heat colors
hardly becomes warmer than uncoated
white PVC. How good the
Anti-Heat colors really are is shown
in a comparison with uncoated
PVC.
Depending on its quality, this also
heats up to 25 °C compared to the
ambient temperature. The heating
of the Anti-Heat colors is almost
exactly in this area.
The conversion of Zowo-plast ®
colors to Anti-Heat colors
through the exchange of only
two pigment pastes is incredibly
easy.
The Zobel Anti-Heat tinting pastes
are fully integrated into our paint
mixing concept. Through the exchange
of only two pastes of the
existing spectrum of Zobel tinting
pastes, the user opens up the full
spectrum of Anti-Heat colors.
16 pigment pastes are required
for the comprehensive coloring
of the Zowo-plast ® system.
Zowo-plast ® – Superior Coating System.

Zowo-plast ® single-layer coatings
are intensively tested by independent,
certified testing laboratories.
For example, Zowoplast
® 1C-PUR PVC single-layer
coating with AAMA 615-05
meets what are arguably the
world’s toughest performance
requirements on coatings for
PVC coating. In terms of the
professional user, the AAMA 615-
05 is a benchmark that can only
be realized from a premium product.
Zowo-plast ® may justifiably
call itself a »Superior Performing
Coating«.
