With Protec 340, over five years ago Zobel placed an intermediate coating of the glazing
type, specifically for very resinous Siberian Larch, on the market, which has since
caused a stir on the international stage. Indeed, the one-component, water-based
product offers consistent protection against water-soluble wood extractives and resin
components as has previously only been possible with two-component solvent products.
With Protec 340, Zobel was simply far ahead of the ever-increasing trend of larch for
building windows, today offering the fruits of practical experience from Germany to
Siberia.
The counterpart to the glazing coat, the semi-opaque white Protec 360, has also become
extremely popular as a universal product for all types of wood in window building
with its excellent insulating properties and maximum protection against yellow
discoloration through water-soluble wood extractives and resin components. Ask us

With the new Protec 320, Zobel combines the superior performance of the proven
Protec 340 and Protec 360 in a new, floodable intermediate coating. This is transparent
and can be used for both glazing and opaque purposes. Of course, Protec 320 can also
be immersed, here, too, demonstrating its excellent insulating properties - with a longterm
guarantee!

Zobel Anti-Heat color recipes for reduced heat build-up.
Conventionally coated wood surfaces, especially dark ones,
heat up in sunlight to values of 80 °C and more. These high
temperatures can affect the life of the coating adversely through
softening.
Zobel Anti-Heat color recipes limit the heating in comparison
to the outside temperature to a maximum of 30 °C and counteract
the above-mentioned effects.

Sustainable action in terms of the environment is traditional at Zobel. Through
consistent specialization in high-quality, water-based coatings, we stopped producing
solvent-based coatings more than 20 years ago. The environmental certification
according to DIN EN ISO 14001 is an international documentation of this development.
