Pomeranian Science and Technology Park
The Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia was first launched in 2001
on joint initiative of the Pomeranian Centre of Technology and the city authorities
of Gdynia. The PSTP is currently under the management of the City of Gdynia’s budgetary
unit – Gdynia Innovation Centre. Since 2004 the PSTP structure has included the
Pomeranian Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator clustering young businesses
representing the high-tech sector. Today, the PSTP serves as the location of about
70 innovative businesses. The purpose of the PSTP is to create conditions conducive
to the pursuance of projects based on advanced technologies in the areas of:
• biotechnology and environment protection, including an implementation laboratory.
• the information technology module,
• industrial design,
• conference and exhibition space.

Gdańsk Science and Technology Park
The Park is a joint project launched by the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone sp. z o.o.,
the Local Government of the Pomeranian Voivodship, the City of Gdańsk, and the Gdańsk
University of Technology. GSTP offers the best conditions for the location of R&D laboratories
and high-tech businesses in such areas as:
• information and telecommunication technologies,
• functional materials and nanotechnologies,
• environment protection,
• biotechnology, food and medicinal chemistry.
The area of the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park has been given the status of a special
economic zone. Today, the office and production facility complex located in close
vicinity of the Gdańsk University of Technology and the Medical University of Gdańsk
is home to several dozen businesses of the high-tech sector, the Gdańsk Construction
Cluster, and an incubator of technological businesses. Ultimately, after yet another stage
in the development of the GSTP infrastructure, the Park will house the main offices
of the Baltic Centre of Biotechnology and Innovative Diagnostics formed jointly by three
largest universities in the region: the Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University
of Technology, and the University of Gdańsk, as well as the Baltic Eco-Energy Cluster.
