Submit substantiating data for masonry grout mix design intendedfor use to the Architect and Structural Engineer not less than threeweeks prior to first grout placement. Data for mix shall, as aminimum, include the following:a. PART 3 - EXECUTION3.1 INSPECTION4. If strengths greater than the minimum compressive strength of2,000 psi are required, it should be stated.5. Extra Water: <strong>Grout</strong> shall be delivered to the jobsite in within batchtolerances as prescribed according to ASTM C-94 StandardSpecification for Ready Mixed Concrete. Should additional water oradmixture be required at the jobsite to achieve the requiredminimum slump flow, it shall be added only at the direction of theauthorized <strong>Lafarge</strong> representative and shall be noted as such onthe delivery ticket. Slump flow shall be retested and documentedafter water or admixture is added.A. Before beginning work, the masonry contractor shall inspect all areaswhere work is to be performed. Report unsatisfactory conditionsimmediately to the General Contractor.3.2 PREPARATIONA. Remove all dirt, ice, loose rust and scale from masonry, ties, and reinforcingprior to installation of grout.B. Fill all holes or cracks over 3/8” to prevent leakage.C. Ensure when high lift grouting that cleanout covers are tightly secured prior togrouting.3.3 MEASUREMENT OF GROUTA. <strong>Self</strong>-<strong>Consolidating</strong> <strong>Grout</strong>:<strong>Grout</strong> batched at the concrete batch plant for either high-lift or low-liftgrouted elements shall conform to the requirements of ACI 301, readymixed concrete and these specifications, and be delivered to the site intransit mix trucks or other suitable transportation devices.3.4 INSTALLATIONA. Place self-consolidating grout within 1 ½ hours after mix water has beenadded unless prior arrangements and mix design adjustments have beenmade by the <strong>Lafarge</strong> representative.B.
