Soil respir<strong>at</strong>ion r<strong>at</strong>es insome of <strong>the</strong>se analyses are described as a function of ei<strong>the</strong>r air or soil temper<strong>at</strong>ure. Ourstudy suggests th<strong>at</strong> this characteriz<strong>at</strong>ion is not valid in moist tropical forests and pastures.
