6 Make sure the NV Memory Card is firmlyseated by gently pushing the card down ontothe ATTO RAID Adapter, as shown:7 Turn the Host Adapter over so that you can seethe back of the printed circuit board. Use thetwo supplied screws to finish secure the NVMemory Card onto your RAID adapter.8 Use an ESD-safe crosshead screwdriver tosecure the screws.Power Module Installation-----------------------------------------------------------------------NoteIt is the user’s preference to install the PowerModule while the ATTO Host Adapter isoutside of the computer, or install the PowerModule while the Host Adapter is seated init’s PCI Express slot. If you have questionsabout how to remove an expansion cardfrom your system, consult your computer’sdocumentation. In these directions, we willassume the card is seated in its PCI Expressslot.1 Remove the Power Module from itselectrostatic safe packaging.2 Select an area for placement of the PowerModule inside of the computer. Make sure itcan be mounted securely and that the PowerModule’s power cord can reach the HostAdapter, specifically the NV Memory Card’spower jack.3 Use the heavy-duty, industrial adhesive, shownin Exhibit 3-3 to mount the module. Removeone side of the paper backing and apply it to thePower Module.Exhibit 3-3 Applying mount adhesive-----------------------------------------------------------------------4 Remove and expose the other side of theadhesive.5 Mount the Power Module into the computer.6 Plug the Power Module power cord into theNon-Volatile Module (on the RAID adapter).The plug is keyed so that it can only be pluggedin one way. Make sure that the plug is fullyinserted.7 Close your computer case.8 You may power on your system.WARNINGBe careful handling the Power Module after ithas been installed and powered.
