2 Install Drivers<strong>ATTO</strong> <strong>ExpressSAS</strong> host adapters require a current device driver <strong>and</strong> hardware flash for proper operation.Your adapter was properly flashed before shipment.However, you must add <strong>ExpressSAS</strong> drivers to yourcomputer before continuing with installation.If you already have one or more <strong>ExpressSAS</strong> adaptersinstalled <strong>and</strong> you have the latest drivers found on the<strong>ATTO</strong> web site, or you followed the instructions in theGetting Started Guide, you do not need to perform anyof these procedures.Drivers for Windows, OS X <strong>and</strong> Linux are supplied onthe <strong>Installation</strong> CD <strong>and</strong> on the <strong>ATTO</strong> web site.Exhibit 2-1 The <strong>Installation</strong> CD splash screen. for the <strong>ExpressSAS</strong> <strong>RAID</strong> host adapter.Downloading drivers from the <strong>ATTO</strong> websiteUse this procedure if you need to update drivers. Thelatest driver for your adapter can be found on the<strong>ATTO</strong> website.1 Go to www.attotech.com.2 On the splash screen menu, put your cursorover Downloads then click on ProductDownloads.3 Register or log in if previously registered.4 Select SAS/SATA <strong>Host</strong> & <strong>RAID</strong> <strong>Adapter</strong>sfrom the product list.5 Select your model.6 From the table, find your Operating System.7 Click on the entry for the latest driver.8 A download window appears.
