Year 2000.Work of Degree to opt to the Title of Magister in Orientation.ABSTRACTThe present investigation is a type study descriptive-correlacional that pursuedas general objective: to determine the level of effectiveness perceived in theeducational of the first stage of Basic Education in relation to the handling of thediscipline in the classroom. The same one was sustained in the Theory ofAutoeíftcacy of Albert Bandura's (1987, 1997) and in the effective handling ofthe Discipline in the Classroom of Anita Woolfolk's (1996) and other authors.One worked with a sample aleatory sample constituted by 36 educationalbelonging to public facilities of the Parroquia San Francisco of the sameMunicipality. For the gathering of the data the Scale was used: "Autoeficiencia ofthe Teacher in the Handling of the Group and the Discipline in the Classroom",of lvonne Ma. Busot and a record of general data. A design preexperimental ofthe type was applied: I study of case with a single measure (Cambell andStanley, 1973). For the analysis of the data were used statistical descriptive andthe test square chi and the coeíftcient of correlation of Pearson, being used thestatistical program SPSS. The following results were achieved: a high level ofAutoeíftcacy prevailed in the educational one for the handling of the discipline inthe classroom. The level of Autoeficacy correlated positively with the instructionlevel and negatively with the age and years of experience.vii
