Imagine our surprise to receive aphone call shortly before Christmas telling us we hadbeen selected….!Further to compiling an information pack, we wereinformed earlier in January that we had reached the nextstage, and would be visited by the TV company for half aday.Although they had a small camera with them this wasnot part of the TV programme. <strong>The</strong>y were keen to see allthe talent in the school and watched our choir, twosoloists, Hannah Shaw and Christian Rose, some Dramaand one of our Dance groups made up of Year 11students. Chloe Kitching proved to be a star as sheshowed her prowess of dancing, acting and singing tothe visitors.What happens next is…we wait and see!If we are selected, we will receive a visit from theProducer of the show for the day to gain more of aninsight into the school. If we get through that stage,three days of filming will occur in late February/earlyMarch.We would then be part of tenschools selected for the show,before being whittled down tothree schools who all auditionin London over Easter.Finally, the selected school willwork with the TV company’s Directors on a show oftheir choosing in the summer holidays.Keep your fingers crossed and watch this space for further updates!!By Mr Shorrock, Subject Leader for DramaHot off the press!
