REGISTRATION INFORMATIONAge Requirement:To compete in the National Championships, athletes mustbe turning 9 years of age by 31 st December <strong>2013</strong>.Registration Deadline: Monday 26 th August <strong>2013</strong> at 12:00pmEntry Fees:<strong>2013</strong>Men’s and Women’s Artistic GymnasticsJunior and SeniorFee per Athlete(GST Inclusive) $130.00Submission of Entries:Entries will only be accepted from the National Coordinators – they will not beaccepted from Clubs. International entries will be eligible and considered forparticipation if received from Gymnastics Federations, States/Regions or on specialinvitation from GymSports NZ (for example High Performance Centres).Entry information will be sent to National Coordinators in the next week.Refunds:The only refunds given to athletes that withdraw from entering the NationalChampionships <strong>2013</strong> are for those who withdraw for medical reasons. A refundbased on 80% of the entry fee will be processed once the Manager/NationalCoordinator has submitted the completed Request for Withdrawal form and theathlete’s medical certificate to GymSports NZ. No other refunds will be given forother costs/fees related with entering the National Championships.Please submit medical certificates and Requests for Withdrawals forms by Monday 28 thOctober <strong>2013</strong>, 12:00pm at the latest. QUALIFICATION SCORESThe Sport Development Committee for each gymsport establishes the minimumqualification scores which must be achieved at a sanctioned event in the samecalendar year. Evidence of the qualification score (copies of levels cards whereapplicable, results in other cases) achieved must be filed with the entries via theNational Coordinator. The Regional Relationship Managers will assist the NationalsCoordinator to verify qualification scores prior to the entries being entered in the GPD.The process for entries will be defined in a further newsletter.1. Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Qualifying Scores:Junior:Regions may enter additional individuals and/or teams. There is NO nationalqualification standard for eligibility to enter.If the number of entries exceeds the maximum number of gymnasts who can beaccommodated in the one day competition, a policy will be put in place which willprotect the entitlement of each Region to enter one (1) team of 3 or 4 gymnasts ineach level and make application for additional entries of individuals and/or teams overand above this entitlement.Senior:Levels 7-9 & U18/Senior Open* with consideration to the strategy for developmentand retention of gymnasts in men’s artistic gymnastics, the qualification score is setas 63.000 for eligibility to enter in the Senior National Championships.*Senior Open however has a selection requirement of 63.000 based on <strong>2013</strong> FIG Codeof Points and changes thereafter, or apparatus score of 12.000.2. It is the coach’s responsibility toensure that their gymnasts are sufficiently prepared in their respective IDP level to present themselves atthe National Championships in a manner which does credit to them, their coaches and the sport.Please Note - In <strong>2013</strong>, only 1 team per region will be accepted for Step 5 and 6, withapplication made for individuals – the maximum number of athletes for each step is72.


Proficiency Scores:Any athlete who achieves the proficiency score in the individual All Around event willbe awarded a pin.
