For more than 20 years SENS has been making a crucial contribution
to developing, promoting and ensuring the quality of
take-back and recycling systems. As its new managing director
I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to prepare
SENS to face the future challenges on the market and further
strengthen its pioneering position – based on its impressive
achievements in the past.
To accomplish this exciting task, I can draw on more than
15 years’ experience working in industry and recycling. As a
supply chain manager and in various other management posts
I have acquired extensive experience in the industry, not least
in the environment, recycling and waste disposal sectors.
Preparing SENS to face future challenges means anticipating
the trends in the dynamic market context of recycling, and
acting accordingly.
One of the industry-wide trends is
the move away from individual services
towards holistic solutions.
Working closely together with our partners, we in the recycling
industry are also focusing on the development of efficient,
industry-wide solutions.
In addition, international networks play an essential role in positioning
and developing the businesses of SENS and its partners
successfully. As a long-standing member of the WEEE
Forum, the European Association of Electrical and Electronic
Waste Take Back Systems, we are collaborating with the other
40 members to continually improve the performance of our recycling
systems. By presiding over the forum and taking part
in the WEEELABEX (WEEE LABel of EXcellence) project we have
been able to strengthen and develop the role of the forum as
a platform for cooperation, dialogue and competence.

Forewords by the President and Managing Director
As a leading take-back and recycling system for electrical and
electronic appliances, we would like to serve as an example
and set standards for others.
We are not willing to compromise at the
expense of the environment and firmly
believe in quality control across the board.
We wish to make our partners enthusiastic about our projects
and always achieve a little more than is expected.
We are convinced we can further strengthen our position by
means of a fundamental, targeted reformulation of our strategy.
I am looking forward to moving SENS’ long-term projects
forward to a successful conclusion together with the organisation’s
Board of Trustees, employees and partners.
