Individual PsychotherapyAll students in the Doctor of Psychology Program are requiredto complete at least 50 hours of individual psychotherapywithin an 18-month time period prior to beginning internship.Psychotherapy must be with a licensed therapist. Kennedy Universityprepares students to sit for the Psychologist LicensingExamination. The licensure process is regulated by theCalifornia Board of Psychology which currently requires aminimum 3,000 hours of board-approved supervised training.Licensing statutes and regulations are subject to futurelegislative or administrative revisions. Doctor of Psychologystudents will be kept informed about licensing requirementsand any changes that occur.
