Cornerstone Foundation ofNortheast WisconsinMother and Infant ProfessorshipAssistant Professor:Dr. Mary RolloffFor more than 25 years, Mary Rolloff,PhD, RN, MSN, has shared her passionfor women and children as a staffnurse, nurse manager, clinical nursespecialist, and now an educator.Mary received her BSN in 1978 from the University ofWisconsin- Milwaukee. Her MSN in parent-child nursingfollowed in 1986 from the University of Wisconsin -Madison.In <strong>2011</strong>, Mary completed her PhD program in nursingeducation at the University of Northern Colorado. Mary iscertified as a Nurse Educator through the National Leagueof Nursing.Mary joined <strong>Bellin</strong> <strong>College</strong> in 2003. She is currently anAssistant Professor and teaches maternity and women’shealth care and research in the undergraduate program.Mary is active in a variety of professional organizationsincluding Sigma Theta Tau and the Wisconsin Associationfor Perinatal Care.Paul Ziemer MemorialCardiovascular NursingProfessorshipAssociate Professor:Dr. Nancy BurrussNancy Burruss, PhD, RN, CNE hasalmost three decades of experience incardiac care including critical care andcardiothoracic surgery.Her BSN degree was granted at the University of Illinois<strong>College</strong> of Nursing in Chicago and her MSN was grantedby Adelphi University, Long Island, NY. She recentlywas awarded her PhD in Nursing Science with a majorin Nursing Education and a minor in Adult Health fromIndiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis.She is certified by the National League for Nursing as aCertified Nurse Educator.An Associate Professor, Nancy is the BSN ProgramDirector at <strong>Bellin</strong> <strong>College</strong>. She teaches undergraduatecourses in pathophysiology and fundamental nursing.Anne M. Rose and John RoseArthritis Nursing ProfessorshipAssistant Professor:JoAnn SwansonJoAnn Swanson MSN, RN-BC, ONC hasdedicated 30 years of her nursing careerto teaching. She received her BSN in1979 and her MSN in 1985 from theUniversity of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with afocus in nursing education and primary care nursing. Herresearch emphasis was on Individuals with Arthritis and theImpact of formal education programs.JoAnn has taught across the curriculum and is currentlyteaching Gerontological Nursing and Medical-SurgicalNursing and is certified in the areas of gerontological,medical surgical and orthopedic nursing. JoAnn has beenan item writer for the Gerontological Certification Examand was also a Standard Setting Panel Member for theMedical Surgical Certification Exam for the American NursesCredentialing Center. JoAnn was the 2010 recipient of theNishioka Family Faculty Award for Excellence.In addition to working with local chapters of nursingorganizations, JoAnn is an active Board Member ofNortheastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Consortium,an organization which promotes access to health care forthe under served population.Paper Converting MachineCompanyCancer ProfessorshipAssistant Professor:Dr. Ellen ReifschneiderEllen Reifschneider, PhD, RN, MSN,has more than 40 years of experiencein the nursing field. Ellen received herBSN in 1968 and her MSN in 1972,both from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.Her PhD in Nursing was granted in 1998 from theUniversity of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As a member of thegraduate faculty, Ellen’s teaching includes professional roledevelopment, research, health systems & organization,and theories of education. Her undergraduate teachingfocuses on clinical leadership and transition to thegraduate nurse role.She is a member of the National League for Nursing andthe Oncology Nursing Society.11
