Message from theBoard of Trustees...Dear Friends of Bellin College:On June 30, 2011, Bellin College ended both another wonderfulyear and a great era under the direction of Dr. V. Jane Muhl, who has retired. The seven years under Dr. Muhl’s leadershipbrought numerous changes to the College. The most visualchange was the creation of our own campus setting in Bellevueopening in 2009. Academically, we began our Masters ofScience in Nursing (MSN) program graduating students in bothnursing education and nursing administration. The Collegeexpanded its offerings to include a baccalaureate in radiologicsciences (BSRS). The first class of radiologic technicians willgraduate in 2013. With this expansion the College changedits name from Bellin College of Nursing to Bellin College. Wewish Dr. Muhl the most enjoyable retirement and look forwardto continued achievement under the leadership of our newPresident, Dr. Connie J. Boerst. The mission of the College is to prepare health careprofessionals. This year we graduated 88 nurses with aBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and five MSN. They arenow serving in our community, state, and in a few cases aroundthe country. Everywhere they go, they are ambassadors forBellin College. We are proud of them and all alumni and theirsuccesses. The mixture of our student body is probably much different thanyou might expect. Half of our BSN students are the traditional, four year student. The other half enter as transfer studentswhich include our freshman, sophomore, and 15 Month options. We are proud of our dedicated student body.No matter which program the students enter, the support theyreceive from our donors is critical. Our students have a tuitionthat will average about $20,000 a year. Your contributions toscholarships help fund their tuition to earn their degree.Thank you for your continued support.Sincerely,Robert ClausenChairperson Board of TrusteesBoard of Trustees2011Robert Clausen, ChairpersonThomas Prust, Vice ChairpersonDr. Fergus Hughes, TreasurerMichael (Max) Frost, SecretaryTerry Fulwiler, At-LargeKaren BrukardtGerald Condon, Jr.Cindy DehnDr. Charles IhrkeGeorge KerwinKathleen RileyDonald SalmonMike Van AstenRobert ClausenBellin College Board of TrusteesChairpersonDr. William Wittman3
