About <strong>Veritas</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>Availability</strong> <strong>Solutions</strong>Known issues73To resolve this issue1 Depending on the application I/O workload <strong>and</strong> network environment,uncomment <strong>and</strong> increase the value of the IPM_HEARTBEAT_TIMEOUT variablein the /etc/vx/vras/vras_env on all the hosts of the RDS to a higher value.The following example increases the timeout value to 120 seconds.export IPM_HEARTBEAT_TIMEOUTIPM_HEARTBEAT_TIMEOUT=1202 Restart vradmind on all the hosts of the RDS to put the newIPM_HEARTBEAT_TIMEOUT value into affect. Enter the following on all the hostsof the RDS:# /etc/init.d/vras-vradmind.sh stop# /etc/init.d/vras-vradmind.sh startvxassist relayout removes the DCM (145413)If you perform a relayout that adds a column to a striped volume that has a DCM,the DCM is removed. There is no message indicating that this has happened. Toreplace the DCM, enter the following:#vxassist -g diskgroup addlog vol logtype=dcmCannot relayout data volumes in an RVG from concat to striped-mirror(2129601)This issue occurs when you try a relayout operation on a data volume which isassociated to an RVG, <strong>and</strong> the target layout is a striped-mirror.Workaround:To relayout a data volume in an RVG from concat to striped-mirror1 Pause or stop the applications.2 Wait for the RLINKs to be up to date. Enter the following:# vxrlink -g diskgroup status rlink3 Stop the affected RVG. Enter the following:# vxrvg -g diskgroup stop rvg4 Disassociate the volumes from the RVG. Enter the following:# vxvol -g diskgroup dis vol
