168Upgrading to 6.0.3Upgrading to 6.0.311 Stop activity to all VxVM volumes that are not managed by VCS.For example, stop any applications such as databases that access the volumes,<strong>and</strong> unmount any file systems that have been created on the volumes.Useapplication specific comm<strong>and</strong>s to stop the applications.12 On each node, stop all VxVM volumes by entering the following comm<strong>and</strong>for each disk group, which are not managed by VCS:# vxvol -g diskgroup stopallVerify that no volumes remain open:# vxprint -Aht -e v_open13 Deport all the disk groups which are not managed under VCS.# vxdg deport diskgroup14 If required, apply the OS kernel patches.See “System requirements” on page 26.See Oracle's documentation for the procedures.15 On each node, check if the VEA service is running:# /opt/VRTS/bin/vxsvcctrl statusIf the VEA service is running, stop it:# /opt/VRTS/bin/vxsvcctrl stop16 Check the readiness of the nodes where you plan to upgrade.
