Network agents make IP addresses and computer names highly available.

The NIC, IP, and IPv6 agents work together to make a virtual IP address highly
available.
The Lanman agent makes a virtual computer name highly available. The
Lanman agent requires the IP agent for operation.
NIC agent
The NIC (Network Interface Card) agent monitors the configured NIC. Some NICs
maintain their connection status in a system-defined variable. The NIC agent uses
this variable to determine the status of the NIC resource. If the NIC does not
maintain its connection status, the agent uses a ‘ping’ or a User Datagram Protocol
(UDP) echo broadcast to determine the status of the resource.
