Study PeriodsThe Ruhrakademie arranges itsteaching according to the semesterdates at state universities or school inNorth Rhine Westphalia. Thesummer semester runs from mid-April to October, which is comparablein terms of timing with thesummer semester at a state university.The winter semester runs frommid-October to April. During periodswhere there is no teaching, the academyis open (for up to 2 weeks), sothat studios and workshops (photolaboratories, computer rooms, studiosetc.) can continue to be used duringthis period. The teaching hours are,apart from a few exceptions: Mondaysto Fridays 9am to 5pm. StefaniePaulus has been working at Serviceplanin Munich for five years now- belongingto the list of Germany's top tenadvertising agencies.Monthly (12 times a year) tuition feeswhich amount to EUR 345 (or EUR395 for the discipline of Film/Directing).In addition there is a one-offregistration fee of EUR 500. Thereare no further costs for examinationsor certificates. The Ruhrakademieoffers sufficient help with finance,which is equivalent to the nationalnorm, via a bank, in addition to thestate BAföG (grant). Also receivingthe legal state BAföG, which isnonrefundable, is possible.
