Year 6 Unit <strong>4.1</strong> (a) <strong>Using</strong> ‘favourites’ <strong>lists</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>access</strong> <strong>information</strong>To successfully complete this activity, the User must find and open two web pages from theFavourites list and print the two pages (they will use the <strong>information</strong> on theses two pages <strong>to</strong>answer two questions, but this will not be assessed).1. First, read the two questions in the ‘Instructions’ box, so you know what you need <strong>to</strong> look for in theFavourites list. (education / schooling in Ancient Greece)2. Click on ‘Favourites’ in the main menu bar and look for web pages saved there that could have<strong>information</strong> <strong>to</strong> answer your questions. (Education in Ancient Greece and Schooling in AncientGreece)3. Choose a page from the drop down and click <strong>to</strong> open it.4. Check the text on the page answers one of the questions, then click <strong>to</strong> print the page. (You can choose‘Print’ from the drop down ‘File’ menu or use the print icon in the grey header bar.)5. Click on ‘Favourites’ in the main menu bar and look for another web page that could have <strong>information</strong><strong>to</strong> answer the other question.6. Choose a page from the drop down and click <strong>to</strong> open it.7. Check the text on the page answers the other question, then click <strong>to</strong> print the page. (You can choose‘Print’ from the drop down ‘File’ menu or use the print icon in the grey header bar.)


8. Find the answers <strong>to</strong> the questions, on the Favourite pages printed out, and highlight or underline them.This part of the activity is not assessed, but the User can share answers with a partner for peerassessment or self assessment.9. When you have finished, click ‘Submit’.
