Meal PlansMeal PlanscontinuedIn designing meal plans, we take into considerationthe eating habits of the average Cornish student. Thisincludes the volume of food purchased per meal, thefrequency with which meals are missed and how oftenhe/she takes advantage of dining for dinner.Plan A - $3600We’ve found that this plan is ideal for students whofrequently enjoy eating in the Cornish Café. If you arealways on campus, have very high caloric needs, orfrequently take advantage of premium specials, this isthe plan for you. It is designed for students who seldomeat off campus. The spending rate assumes a morefrequent eater who will often take advantage of thedinner dining hours. The A plan reflects $1800 persemester.Plan B - $3000This plan is right for you if you dine less frequently or areaway on weekends. It is also a good choice if you arelooking for a lighter plan and have a spending rate thatis fairly average and will now and again take advantageof the dinner dining hours. The B plan reflects $1500per semester.Plan C - $2400This plan is especially effect for those that live in CornishCollege resident halls and attend classes at Kerry Hallfrequently taking advantage of breakfast and dinner diningbut lunch off campus near the Kerry Hall community. Itis also a good choice if you are looking for a lighter planand your spending rate is fairly average or will occasionallytake advantage of the dinner hours. The B plan reflects$1200 per semester.Declining BalanceThe meal plans operate on a declining balance or debitsystem. Depending on the plan selected, students begineach semester with a set amount of funds, CornishMeal plan dollars, electronically added to their balance.Students then draw down on their balance as theypurchase food. If a student runs out of Cornish Mealplan dollars they can add additional money to theirstudent id card.BudgetingBon Appétit provides an example budget for all studentsthat lists average daily meal cost samples to aid indeciding which meal plan best suites his/her dininghabits. We suggest that students check their meal planbalance weekly by asking for a printed receipt fromthe cashier and comparing their balance to the calendar. If a student has too many Cornish Meal Plan Dollarshe/she may want to consider changing to a smallermeal plan and if a student does not have enoughCornish Meal Plan Dollars he/she can consider addingCornish Meal Plan Dollars.
