RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research interests are in robotics, nonlinear control, and machine learning. They
encompass motion planning, convex optimization, optimal control, reinforcement learning,
legged robots, aerial vehicles, fluid dynamics, biological motor control, and neuroscience.
I am particularly interested in the difficult problems in robotics where general
computational algorithms can find elegant solutions, and in problems where taking advantage
of the natural dynamics of the robot yield dramatically improved performance.
