UCTENVIROF ORENS ICSPHARMA

UCTENVIROThe QuEChERS method, first developed in 2003, used graphitized carbon black (GCB) as asorbent to remove chlorophyll. While GCB is effective in removing chlorophyll from samples, italso removes planar (polar aromatic) pesticides such as chlorothalonil, coumaphos, hexachlorobenzene, thiabendazole, terbufos, quintozene and others, resulting in low recoveries for these analytes.Use of solvents of increasing polarity can remove the planar pesticides from GCB but with anincrease in background interferences. UCT, Inc. has developed a new solid phase sorbentthat effectively removes chlorophyll without the loss of planar analytes or adding to backgroundinterference. The ChloroFiltr TM sorbent is used in QuEChERS clean-up products in place of GCB.No method modification is necessary when ChloroFiltr TM is substituted for GCB. UCT QuEChERSproducts will contain the ChloroFiltr TM for chlorophyll removal.*Trademark PendingDCN-908070-164Placing An OrderPhone: 717.247.0896800.541.0559Fax: 717.247.0109MailUCT, LLC2731 Bartram Rd.Bristol, PA 19007Technical SupportPhone: 215.781.9255800.385.3153Fax: 215.785.1226Email: info@unitedchem.comForum: forums.unitedchem.comWeb: www.unitedchem.com
