Implementation of Transitional Laws in Serbia 2006Closing down MediaIn the evening of April the Agency issued a decision on suspension of TVBK Telecom, after a closed session with the station’s editor-in-chief, MilomirMaric. 525 The Agency then explained its decision as having been made afterTV BK Telecom’s repeatedly illicit behavior that followed the warning in2004. 526 TV BK was warned for having fostered rather biased reporting infavor of the presidential candidate Bogoljub Karic. 527 The Agency’s decisionwas enforced in the night between April 25 th and 26 th , when the Agency’sofficial, with the assistance of the police, interrupted the broadcasting ofTV BK’s program from the transmitter and tried to enter the televisionpremises. 528 The attempt was prevented by the TV BK’s employees andcitizens who gathered in the meantime.
