RegistrationREGISTRATIONProof of Residency RequirementsHawthorn School District 73 residents that live outside ofVernon Hills Park District boundaries are eligible for residentrates. The only exceptions are daily admissions to the FamilyAquatic Center and facility rentals. In addition, District 73residents must wait until the non-resident registration datesto register for programs.Vernon Hills and District 73 residents must provide thefollowing proof of residency on an annual basis:• State Photo ID or Drivers License, and• Real Estate Tax Bill or current utility bill (no older than60 days), or proof of recent real estate contract closing.Proof of residency must be submitted in-person during regularbusiness hours at the Sullivan Community Center or at theLakeview Fitness Center.Questions about residency policy or online registration?Call 847-996-6800 or email reginfo@vhparkdistrict.orgClass CancellationsThe Park District makes every effort to avoid canceling classes.However, in order to operate efficiently, programs must havea minimum number of registered participants 2-5 days beforeclass start date to avoid cancellation. If a program is cancelled,participants are notified prior to the start of the program and a fullrefund is issued.Refunds• A refund, minus a $5 service charge, is granted if the request isreceived at least 10 business days before the start of theprogram. To avoid the service charge, you may apply the refundtoward another Park District program or accept a credit forfuture use.• Refund requests received less than 10 days before the start of aprogram or after a program has begun will be granted andpro-rated upon administrative approval. The $5 service chargewill apply.• No refunds are issued once 50% of the program has beencompleted.• Season passes are not refundable.• Refunds are mailed to participants approximately 2-3 weeksafter administrative approval is received.Refund Request forms are available at the Sullivan and LakeviewCenters and on our website.Save a Class! Register EarlyWithin 5 days of a class beginning, a decison is made to runthe class or not. If you do not have an online account, onecan be requested from our website by clicking on the blueREGISTER tab on the home page, or an Online Activation Form canbe filled out at the Sullivan Community Center or Lakeview FitnessCenter. In addition to browsing and registering for programs,online accounts allow users to re-print receipts, pay balances andreload gift cards, just to mention a few options.To receive resident rates, proof of residency must be providedin person at the Sullivan Community Center or Lakeview FitnessCenter.
