The campaignis focused on both athletics and recreation, and itis estimated that at least 80 percent of the student bodyuses these facilities on a regular basis. The upgradesto the Selby field and track, especially the artificial turfinstallation, will extend the use of this facility seasonally,and it will allow teams to share the fields even duringthe individual team seasons. Incoming student-athleteshave reported their excitement over the prospect of playingin renovated and new facilities. For example, our verystrong softball program will soon benefit from its ownnew field, now being constructed south of the baseballdiamond.
