Founded in 1842, Ohio Wesleyan isan independent undergraduate liberalarts university affiliated with TheUnited Methodist Church. Ohio Wesleyanis accredited by the North CentralAssociation of Colleges and Schools.The University is a member of the GreatLakes Colleges Association, a consortiumof 12 leading independent institutionsin Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.Ohio Wesleyan confers the Bachelorof Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts andBachelor of Music degrees. The Universityalso offers combined-degree (3-2)programs in engineering, medical technology,optometry and physical therapy.Degree programs are offered through22 academic departments and severalinter-disciplinary programs. Distinctivefeatures of the academic program includethe Arneson Institute for PracticalPolitics, the Center for Economics andBusiness, the National Colloquium, theHonors Program, and opportunities forindependent research, internships, andoff-campus study.Ohio Wesleyan employs 136 fulltimefaculty, of whom 36 percent are femaleand 8 percent are minority.
